Proposal
Barnaby Drabble is a curator and writer based in Zürich. His curated projects include the exhibitions I almost feel like doing it again…  (Zürich, 2004), The Family (Florida, 2003) and TM Guerrilla (Swiss National Exhibition, 2002). Between 1999 and 2002 he held the position of curator of contemporary art at the National Maritime Museum in London. In addition to his individual work he frequently works collaboratively, most notably in his work since 1998 with Dorothee Richter, producing projects looking at critical and experimental approaches to making exhibitions, under the title Curating Degree Zero, and since 2001 with the artist Hinrich Sachs with whom he established Drabble+Sachs, an office focusing on cultural research and action. He is co-director of the Postgraduate Program in Curating at the School of Art and Design in Zürich and is currently conducting his PhD research at the Edinburgh College of Art. As a critic and writer he is a regular contributor to various art-publications, magazines, websites and catalogues.
